Mayes County —
Candidates for the Board of Education in eight Mayes County school districts may file Declarations of Candidacy beginning at 8 a.m. Monday, December 3.
The filing period will end at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 5.
Candidates for the Board of Education for Northeast Technology Center District 11, will also file their Declarations during the same period.
The Board of Education positions at stake will be filled at the Annual School Election scheduled February 12, 2013. If no candidate receives more than 50% of the total votes cast in this election, the two candidates receiving the highest number of votes will meet in a Runoff Election on Tuesday, April 2.
Offices for which Declarations of Candidacy will be accepted at the County Election Board Office on the first floor of the Mayes County Courthouse include the following:
Adair School District — Office No. 3
Chouteau-Mazie School District —- Office No. 3
Locust Grove School District —- Office No. 3
Osage School District — Office No. 3
Pryor School District —- Office No. 3
Salina School District — Office No. 3
Spavinaw School District —- Office No. 2
Wickliffe School District — Office No. 1
Northeast Technology Center – Zone No. 3
Candidates for municipal office in the City of Pryor may file Declarations of Candidacy beginning at 8 a.m. Monday, Dec.3.
The filing period ends at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 5.
Declarations of Candidacy will be accepted at the County Election Board office for the following offices, all with a term of two years, ending in 2015.
Council member – Ward 1
Council member – Ward 2
Council member – Ward 3
Council member – Ward 4
City Clerk
Police Chief
Treasurer
The following office shall be elected for a one (1) year unexpired term ending in 2014:
Council member – Ward 3
These offices will be filled in a general election on Feb.12, 2013. If a Runoff Election is necessary it will be held on April 2, 2013.
