Pryor woman found dead at Tulsa casino

Pryor, OK — CATOOSA (AP) — Authorities are investigating the death of a 25-year-old woman whose body was found in a hotel room at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino near Tulsa.

FBI Special Agent Clay Simmonds says authorities were called to the casino shortly after 5 a.m. Monday on a report of an unresponsive woman. Authorities identified the woman as Traci Kristyn Sims of Pryor.

Sims’ death is under investigation by the Cherokee Nation’s Marshal Service and the FBI.

Simmonds says authorities don’t yet know if Sims’ death was accidental or if foul play was involved. He says there were no immediate signs of a struggle or traumatic injuries.

The state medical examiner’s office will determine the cause of death.
