Judge completes leadership acdemy

PRYOR — Associate District Judge Shawn Taylor, District 12, Mayes County, recently completed the Oklahoma Department of Corrections Leadership Academy, an in-depth look at the state’s prison system. The Academy is offered to Oklahoma citizens to educate and inform participants about the Department of Corrections. It provides a firsthand view of organizational structure, operations, and issues.

“Through their Leadership Academy the Oklahoma Department of Corrections provides an open book look at their facilities and programs. Not only was the Academy informative, enlightening and educational, the Department should be commended for allowing such candid access by the public to their operations,” Taylor said.
