Two were killed in motorcycle accidents over the weekend.
A Salina man died following a crash Saturday night.
The accident occurred two miles south of Langley on Highway 82 between 10 p.m. and 11 p.m., according to a report
by Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
Idess Wayne Scroggins, 32, failed to negotiate a curve, said OHP Trooper Charles Smith, who investigated the wreck.
Scroggins was not located until approximately 3:25 p.m. on Sunday. His motorcycle had run off the right side of the road and down an embankment. The Honda struck a tree, ejecting Scroggins.
He was dead on scene from massive injuries.
Scroggins was not wearing a helmet.
A Tulsa motorcycle crash killed the grandson of a local dance teacher.
Dustin Walling, 23, was traveling at a high rate of speed near the intersection of Garnett Road and 21st Street.
Walling’s bike struck a pickup truck that was pulling out of a fast food restaurant at 9:05 a.m. Sunday, said a report by The Associated Press.
When officers arrived on scene, the motorcycle was on fire. Walling, who was not wearing a helmet, was pronounced dead at the scene.
He was the grandson of Ms. Jimmie McCollough of Ms. Jimmie’s School of Dance.
