Oklahoma Arts Council has announced that Rogers State University Public Television will be honored with a 2012 Governor’s Arts Award for its contributions to arts in Oklahoma.
RSU Public TV joins seven other organizations and 11 individuals who will be recognized during the 37th Annual Governor’s Arts Awards, to be presented by Gov. Mary Fallin during a Nov. 8 ceremony at the state capitol. The ceremony will begin at 4 p.m. in the 4th Floor Rotunda with a reception on the capitol's first floor to follow. The event is free and open to the public.
As the only full-powered public television station licensed to a public university in Oklahoma, RSU Public TV provides educational, cultural and general interest programming to an audience of 1.3 million viewers.
