Rodney Allan Nelson, 33, Broken Arrow, was in Mayes County District Court Tuesday, charged with seven counts, two felonies and five misdemeanors. The felonies are assault with a deadly weapon, placing bodily fluid on an arresting officer. The misdemeanors are domestic abuse assault and battery, malicious injury to property, domestic abuse assault and battery, driving without a valid license and resisting arrest. Nelson pleaded not guilty. The case was set on the preliminary hearing sounding docket Aug. 30. Bond was set at $500,000. The District Attorney’s office asked Judge Rebecca Gore to either offer Nelson no bond or an expensive bond. Gore issued a $500,000 bond and ordered no contact with the alleged victims.

Nelson is alleged to have assaulted Gilbert Graybill with a knife and threatened to cut his throat. Nelson is alleged to have spat on arresting Deputy Scott Yeager. Nelson is alleged to have struck Graybill, smashed the headlight of a 2003 Dodge pickup truck owned by wife Vanessa Nelson, and spat on her. He is accused of driving a 2001 Dodge Ram truck without a license and not cooperating with arresting deputy Yeager, all on July 16.  

Eric Warren Roberts, 49, Adair, was in Mayes County District Court Monday, charged with domestic assault and battery. Roberts pleaded not guilty. The case was set on the preliminary hearing sounding docket Sept. 7. Bond was set at $5,000. Roberts told Judge Rebecca Gore that the alleged victim stabbed him. Roberts was ordered to have no contact with the alleged victim.

Jared Wayne Jordan, 25, Pryor, was in Mayes County District Court Monday charged with manufacture of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of a controlled dangerous substance. Jordon pleaded not guilty. The case was set on the preliminary hearing sounding docket Aug. 30. Bond was set at $75,000.



Jordan is alleged to have conspired with Jason Elliott Michael Lee to make methamphetamines by having a lithium battery, Coleman fuel and liquid drain cleaner, and having methamphetamines on his person on July 16.
