A total of 3,362 head sold Jan. 16, compared to 3,824 last week and 3,123 last year. Compared to last week, feeder steers and heifers sold steady to $3 lower. Steer and heifer calves sold steady to $3 lower, calves under 350 lbs. sold $4 to $8 lower. Slaughter cows sold steady. Slaughter bulls sold $2 to $3 higher. Stock cows sold to good demand.
