A total of 1,603 head sold April 9, compared to 2,149 the week before and 1,925 last week. Steer and heifer calves sold $2 to $6 higher; except steer calves under 350 lbs., $2 to $4 lower. Slaughter cows and bulls sold steady. Very good demand for stock cows.
