Agritourist newsletter leads to adventure

The Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, Food and Forestry’s Agritourism Program publishes a monthly e-newsletter “The Agritourist” that puts visitors in the know when grape stomping, hay maze sleuthing or pumpkin patch discoveries are ripe for enjoyment.

Each monthly issue gives readers an inside peek at a farm, ranch or winery in the Agritourism Program where agriculture and tourism meet. Farms, ranches and vineyards across Oklahoma are opening their gates and barn doors to the public and issuing a heartfelt invitation to sample the abundant bounty and natural beauty found in rural communities.

Recipes from the farmhouse, coupons for special discounts and tips on where to travel and what to see are packed in each issue. To subscribe, simply enter
